When She Says, “Sorry Not My Type”

Your sensitivity is the reason you’re alone on Christmas eve.

A reader asks…

“Michael, I recently reply to a woman’s craigslist ad in which she ask for a photo and I went against my better judgement and sent one.

Within seconds, I get a reply from her…”sorry not my type, I like feminine looking guys. I guess I should have posted that in my ad.”

I felt really stupid, almost like she had that pre-scripted for me already. I’m 37, slim and already have a poor self-image and low self-esteem. I felt she went out her way to be hurtful, bitchy and an ass to me.

That’s why I prefer online dating sites and apps like Tinder so I can avoid instances like this again. Am I being to sensitive and critical?”

— Russell, WV

Yes, you are being way to sensitive and critical for no reason.

If you don’t get a handle on this, you are always not going to be someone’s type. The reply the woman sent was her being honest to you. You are just not her type and if you consider yourself feminine then you are writing the wrong person anyway.

Every woman is not going to like you PERIOD, just like you are not going to like every woman you see. That’s just life, but in order to find the one that does like you and want to be with you. You got
some serious working on yourself to do.

No longer would you have to care about what women think of you. You will have a stronger self-image and higher self-esteem about yourself. That alone will start attracting the right women to you which makes the dating game fun again no matter what your age.

But that choice is yours to make.

If being sensitive, critical , having a poor self-image, low self-esteem and hiding behind online dating sites and apps is the life you want.

By all means, ignore this message.

Or, if a stronger, positive self-image, self-esteem and no sensitivity is what your aiming for, I can help you find your way.
